Mary Ella Robinson

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Mary Ella Robinson, 95, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave. Officiating will be Dr. Chuck McInturf. Visitation with the family will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the funeral home. Mary was born on November 14, 1920 in Rayville, LA to James and Ella Dean Cobb and passed away on February 11, 2016. She was a long-time member of Woodridge Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday school class. She enjoyed reading, word puzzles, watching sports and encouraging others. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years, Andrew Earl Robinson and brother, Dean Russell. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, James Edward Robinson and wife, Drew, Eugene C. Robinson, David Robinson and wife, Debra; daughters Linda Braemer and husband, Ray, Mary Hieber and husband, Ken, Beth Allen and husband, Tom, and Donna Jordan and husband, Tom; grandchildren, Cami Wise, Ray Braemer, Jr, Kenneth Hieber, Ricky Hieber, Jone` Heflin, Lana Patton, Jennifer Robinson, Casey Robinson, Melissa Malec, Cindy Jordan, and Becky Jordan; great-grandchildren, Ricky Wise, Jena and Justin Hieber, Josie and Connor Heflin and Lexi Wade. The family would like to say a special thank you to so many friends and family at Montclair Park Assisted Living Center, the Circle of Life Hospice Care, and to Woodridge Baptist Church, especially her faithful friends from the Ruth Sunday School class. A heartfelt thank you to Mary's "adopted daughters" Yvette Raphiel and Danita Scott for all the care, support and love they gave to our mother.
