Mary Wanda Scudder

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Mary Wanda Scudder, 88, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery in Logansport, LA. Officiating will be her dear friend, Jan McDonald. Visitation with the family will be held from 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Mary was born on October 14, 1927 in Walnut Springs, TX to Seaborn and Hilma Nichols and passed away on January 26, 2016. Mary owned and operated the Joy Home for Boys in Greenwood, LA for 25 years. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Scudder and her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Scudder. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Robert "Doug" Scudder; granddaughter, Shelby Scudder; brothers, John Jerald Nichols and Charles Eugene Nichols and wife, Ethel.
