Bossier City, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Mary W. Simmons, age 79 will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, LA with Bro. Joe Clement officiating, assisted by Bro. Calvin Hubbard. Interment will follow at the Rose-Neath Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation on Monday, October 26^th from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Simmons was born in St. Maurice, LA on June 16, 1936 to James Henry and Josie Lee Garner Fowler and passed away on October 23, 2015 at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Bossier City. She was a homemaker and a member of Barksdale Baptist Church.

Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Paul Simmons; brothers, Sonny Fowler and Joe Fowler and sister, Juanita Watkins.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Kenneth Simmons; son, Ron Simmons and wife, Marlene; daughters, Paula Kimes and husband, Kyle, Patricia Anderson and Dianne Crouch; daughter-in-law, Robin Simmons. Mrs. Simmons is also survived by her grandchildren, Charlie Adams (Nicole), Jacob Adams, Will Anderson (Heather), Mary Ellen Anderson (Dee), Kenneth Anderson, Brittany Crouch (Chris), Justin Crouch (Nicole) and Josh Simmons and 12 great-grandchildren.

Honoring Mrs. Simmons as pallbearers will be Justin Crouch, Will Anderson, Kenneth Anderson, Josh Simmons, Kyle Kimes and Bob Bacon.
