Funeral services for Mary Ellen Berry Upton will be held Monday, January 12, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Carl Rhoads officiating. Interment will follow at Minden Cemetery in Minden. The family will receive friends from noon til service on Monday, January 12, 2015. Mary Ellen was born October 17, 1928 in Ruston, Louisiana and entered into rest January 9, 2015 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the P.E.O. Her husband R. Horace Upton and son Jimmy Upton preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Elizabeth Upton Madden of Bossier City, grandchildren, Chad Allen Madden and wife Arden of Bossier City, Lindsay Salter and husband Robert of Bossier City, great-grandchildren, Austin, Hunter, and Eva. Pallbearers will be Luke Ritchie, Darrell Winget, Greg Nichols, Scott Merritt, Shay Merritt, and David Barnett.
