SHREVEPORT, LA- Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Roe Wallis will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. Bro. Don Tinsley will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Marthaville Cemetery, Marthaville, LA. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August, 21, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral home. Elizabeth was born on December 31, 1928 to Mr. Samuel Henry Roe and Della Mae Self Roe in Marthaville, LA, and passed away on August 16, 2014 in Kimberling, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joseph Miles Wallis. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Alan Wallis and his wife, Cindy of Galena, MO; Bruce Wallis and his wife, Beverly of Mansfield, TX; daughter, Sara Wallis Lindsay and her husband, George of Plano, TX; sister, Lucille Roe Wells of Dubberly, LA; sister-in-law, Christine Wallis Roe of Many, LA; grandchildren, Miles Wallis and his wife, JoAnna; Amanda Ledford and her husband, Jason; Veronica Wallis, Valerie Brown and her husband, Dave; Vanessa Wallis, Logan Wallis and his wife, Tayla; Cameron Lindsay and Kenna Lindsay; great-grandchildren, Josie and Zane Ledford, Ethan Wallis, Josiah Wallis, Taylor Wallis, Grace Wallis and Lucy Wallis. Elizabeth was a longtime resident of the Blanchard area and a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church and was always involved with community activities in which she heartily volunteered. She regularly opened her home to her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made in Elizabeth's honor to The American Heart Association, St. Jude Children's Research or to donor's choice.
