Mary Jean Wilkins

A graveside service for Mary Jean Wilkins, 94, will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Vivian Cemetery, W. Tennessee Ave., Vivian, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Josh Sanderson, her nephew.
 
 Mary Jean was born on April 6, 1930, in McDade, Texas to Eugene V. and Dorothy Bostic and passed away on May 4, 2024, at home in Shreveport.
 
 Mary Jean was a resident of Shreveport but grew up in Vivian. She was the President/Director of J.W. Graves Insulation until her retirement. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
 
 She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wilkins; parents, Eugene V. and Dorothy Bostic; sister and brother-in-law, Sis and Jay Graves; brother and sister-in-law, Doyle and Bettye Bostic; brother, J.B. (Dink) Bostic; nieces, Cindy Bostic Post and Linda Graves. Left to cherish her memory is her sister-in-law, Esther Bostic from Albuquerque, New Mexico; nephew, Gary Bostic and wife, Sheryl from Whitehouse, Texas; nephew, Gene Bostic and wife, Susan from Yuma, Arizona; niece, Belinda Moentmann and husband, Tim from Shreveport, Louisiana; and numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
 
 The family would like to express their thanks to Mattie Alexander for the love and care she gave to Mary Jean throughout the years, especially at the end of her life. We also want to thank Alison Watson, Eileen Lewis, and Tara McMullen-Turner with Lifepath Hospice, for the wonderful care given to Mary Jean and our family.
