Maurice "Mike" Hicks

Mike Hicks, 48, of Shreveport, LA, died Saturday April 29, 2017, at University Health Hospital. He was born on May 16, 1968 in Mt. Vernon, IL, the son of Harry and Ann (Fout) Hicks. He married Jenny Hicks on April 2, 2011. Mike worked as Director of Maintenance. He was a child of God that loved to share his testimony to others and brought a countless number of people to know the Lord. Mike is survived by his wife Jenny of Shreveport, LA: his children Kyle Howard of Mahomet, IL, Kelsie Hicks of Shreveport, LA, Sarah Sullivan of Machesney Park, IL, Shannon Sullivan of Shreveport, LA and Justin Sullivan of Shreveport, LA. His siblings, Charlotte (Bill) Stewart of Mt. Vernon, IL, Virginia (Delbert) Boykin of Mt. Vernon, IL, Linda (Ron) Moore of Mt. Vernon, IL, Cathy Boykin of Mt. Vernon, IL, Carol Tate of Mt. Vernon, IL, Cheryl (Steve) Ogle of Shiloh, GA, Wayne Hicks of Mt. Vernon, IL, Charlie Hicks of Mt. Vernon, IL and Chris Hicks of Mt. Vernon, IL; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Harry Hicks. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Church at Red River with Pastor Troy Parker officiating.
