Maxine Durbin

Arcadia - Graveside services will be held for Maxine C. Durbin, age 94, at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, March 4, 2016, at Bear Creek Cemetery. Bro. James Lambert will officiate. Maxine was born May 5, 1921 to Gordan and Sybil Jackson Cleverdon in Seattle, Washington. She passed on Sunday, February 28 in Bunkie, Louisiana. Maxine is a former member of Bryceland Baptist Church where she had once served as the church secretary and wrote poems for Sunday bulletins. While in Alexandria, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband David B. Durbin, son David Durbin and brother Bradford Cleverdon. She is survived by her son Marcus Durbin, daughters Druann Bauer and Marie Hudson, by 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one niece, one nephew and numerous friends.
