Funeral services for Melba B. Hataway will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Ronnie Whitlock officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Melba was born January 12, 1925 in Haynesville, Louisiana and entered into rest September 3, 2014 in Bossier City, Louisiana. She was loyal to her family, church, friends and her God. Her husband Harold Hataway, brothers E.L. Brackman and Deward Brackman and sisters Estelle Marshall and Azelle Thompson preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Lynn Hataway and wife Nelda of Springhill, daughter Trudy D. Smith and fiancé Mike Ruark of Minden, grandchildren Teresa Hataway, Tammy Anderson, Brett Smith and wife Laura, and great grandchildren Gaebrielle Anderson, Jacob Hataway, Morgan Saveall, Zoey Smith and great great grandchild Jayden Clark, niece Marlene Meredith, and nephews Tommy Marshall and Jerry Marshall.
