Melba Gay Turner

Gay Turner, 96, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2023.

She was born on February 25, 1927 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Charlie and Pearl Shearwood. She retired from South Central Bell years ago where she met many friends. She enjoyed fishing and shopping.

She is preceded in death by her children, Tim Turner and Terri Turner. Left to cherish her memories are her two daughters, Linda Draper (Bob) and Tina Harrington (Ed); 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial and graveside will follow at Centuries Memorial Park, 4000 Meriwether Road in Shreveport. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Rose-Neath Southside from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
