Melton Earl Faulk, Sr.

ATHENS, LA: Funeral services were held for Mr. Melton E. Faulk, Sr., 63, in the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Perry Anderson, officiating. Interment followed in Old Athens Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 p.m. Mr. Faulk was born October 20, 1952 in Homer to Melton and Thelma Brock Faulk. He entered into rest on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 in Homer. Mr. Faulk retired from OTR as a truck driver. Mr. Faulk was preceded in death by his father, Melton Emory Faulk; three brothers, Felix Faulk, Billy Ray Faulk and Nick Faulk; and three nephews, Felix Faulk, Jr., Bill Faulk, Jr. and Ken Faulk. He is survived by his mother, Thelma Faulk; two sons, Earl Faulk of Leton, LA, Stephen Faulk and wife Kayla of Athens, LA; four grandchildren, Laura Faulk and apecial friend Brittany McCall, Kayla Smith and husband Dylan, Marshall Faulk and Stephen Ray Faulk; a great grandchild, Karson Smith; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Tommy Miller, Earl Benson, Keith Lee, Bryan Faulk, Nick Dison and Billy Atkins. Honorary pallbearer were Dennis Dance, Stanley Edwards, Athens Lodge, Clint Faulk and Cody Knighton. In lieu of flowers honoring Mr. Faulk, his family suggests memorials be to Athens Masonic Lodge #136 or American Diabetes Association.
