Merlin Bryan Hunter

Mr. Merlin Bryan Hunter, 97, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on November 23, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Hunter was  born on August 9, 1925 in Gilmer, Texas to James and Mattie Warlick Hunter.

Mr. Hunter worked for 13 years with Midwest Dairy and subsequently with Wonder Bread for the remainder of his career. He was a member of Springs of Grace Baptist Church on Hearne Avenue in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 75 years, Eugenia "Jean" Hunter. He is survived by his sons, Dickie Hunter of Shreveport, LA and Foy Hunter of Longview, TX; along with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A visitation with the family will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2022 located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr, Shreveport, LA 71118.                            

A private burial will be held at a later date.
