Meroe R. Jones

Coushatta, LA Meroe was born to John and Maude Robinson on 9 March 1924 in Hall Summit, Louisiana and remained a lifelong resident of Red River Parish. A devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother full of love for her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Jones; parents, John and Maude Robinson; son, Mike Jones; brothers, Wilmer Robinson and wife Marilyn, Gene Robinson, Howard Robinson and wife Margie; sisters, Earnestine Robinson, Betty Jo Dickson and husband Walter. Those remaining to preserve her memory are son, Randy Jones and wife Pam; daughter-in-law, Carol Jones; brother, Willie Robinson and wife Sheryl; sister, Janie Bolding; sister-in-law, Betty Rose Robinson; grandchildren, Allen Jones and wife Michalle, David Jones and wife Brandi, Jonathan Jones and wife Nagi, Maki Rosario and husband Jerry; great grandchildren, Sidney, Abby, Allen Michael, Kyrie, Josh and Kendall; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Lillian Calhoun and Barbara Daniels. The family wishes to thank the staff of Green Meadow Haven and Dr. Gavin Chico for their years of selfless and compassionate care. Additionally, the family would like to thank the staff of Christus Coushatta for their exceptional level of comfort care. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Clear Springs Cemetery, 3517 Hwy. 155, Coushatta, LA 71019. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, Coushatta, LA. Interment will follow at Clear Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
