Merrell M McCoy

Coushatta, LA - A private graveside service celebrating the life of Merrell Marston McCoy, 101, was held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Holley Springs Cemetery in the Martin community. The services were under the direction of Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Mr. McCoy was born on June 7, 1919 in Red River Parish to Merrell M. and Hallie Smith McCoy and passed August 15, 2020 in Shreveport, LA. During his lifetime, he could do anything he had wanted to do. He built his own house by hand and loved camping. He was active serving with the Campers on Mission and the Roadrunners Trailer Club. Mr. McCoy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret H. McCoy; sister, Alexa Oberlander and brothers, Buford, Scott and J. W. McCoy. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Merrell Edward McCoy and wife, Linda; two grandchildren, John Christopher McCoy and Lance Christian McCoy and wife, Brandi; and one great-grandchild, Sami McCoy.
