Memorial services for Michael D. Coker will be held Monday, February 19, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana.
Michael was born September 10, 1946 in Bossier City, Louisiana and entered into rest February 15, 2018 at Northwest LA Veterans Home in Bossier City, Louisiana. He served his country in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Michael was a loving husband and father. He was an avid music lover and played the fiddle and accordion and played in several Ark-La-Tex bands over the years. He loved to hunt and fish and was a lover of nature and "critters". Michael was also an artist in his younger years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Judy Perkins Coker, parents, J.W. and Ruth Coker, and brothers, Ted Coker, Jerry Coker, and Don Coker.
He is survived by his son Cody Coker and wife Tomo of LeMoore, California, daughter, Lori Branch and husband Kyle of Minden, grandchildren, Sara Coker, Cade, Callie, and Cooper Branch, brother, James Coker, sister-in-law Dewanda Perkins of Minden, brother-in-law, Michael Perkins and wife Mary of Houston and nieces, Mindy Banks of Minden and Kelsey Perkins of Houston, Texas.
