Michael Owen Collier, Sr.
KEITHVILLE, LA- Memorial services celebrating the life of Michael Owen Collier, Sr., 67, will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. An inurnment with military honors presented by the USMC Honor Guard will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Michael was born on March 31, 1947 in Colfax, LA and passed away on July 3, 2014. He was a resident of Keithville and owner of Mike Collier Painting Co. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Viet Nam conflict. Michael was a Purple Heart recipient.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reginald and Willie Mae Collier. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 45 years, Carolyn S. Collier; son Michael O. Collier, Jr. and wife, Melinda; daughters, Shirley A. Collier, Teaha Beaver and husband, Billy, Bre McIntire and husband, William; grandchildren, Max, Milana and Maddox Collier, Monique Pezel and husband, Justin; great-grandchildren, Bentley McIntire and Landen Pezel; sister, Frances McGraw and husband, Don; brothers, Reginald Collier, Jr. and wife, Mary, Don Collier and wife, Margie; numerous nieces and nephews.
