Michael Bruce Effinger

A “Celebration of Life” Memorial Service for Michael “Mike” Bruce Effinger, 69, will be held in May of 2025 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Mike was born on September 4, 1955, to Ronald Effinger and Patty Sue Wheeler in Kettering, Ohio and passed away on March 18, 2025.
He was a resident of Shreveport, Louisiana.

Mike was a very patriotic American and served in the Navy. He did contract labor, and in his spare time, loved to fish, play his guitar, and listen to Southern Rock Music. He was very charming and charismatic and very loyal to his family. 

Mike is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Guy Effinger and mother, Patty Sue Wheeler. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Rachel Nicole Effinger, and Shannon Marie Effinger; three granddaughters, and one grandson; one niece; and two nephews; sisters, Linda Sue Effinger, Diane Effinger, Rona-Lee Effinger, and Lori Effinger.

Mike will be greatly missed, but he will live on in our hearts forever.
