Michael L. Phillips

Michael L. Phillips, 69, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on April 14, 2025. He was born on May 26, 1955, in Shreveport to Jarel A. Phillips and Joann Williams.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. with services to follow at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA 71118 with Mel Cambell to officiate. Burial will be held at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, LA 71111. Honoring Michael as pallbearers will be Rusty Ebey, Jimi Williams, James Boggs, Brian Woodall, Steve Woodall, and Bobby Malmay.

Michael graduated from Woodlawn High School in Shreveport. He worked as a manager in retail for 40+ years. Michael loved his kids and grandkids, LSU, Dallas Cowboys, fishing, and fellowship with family and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Mark and Mitchell Phillips. He is survived by his brothers, John Phillips, Jimi Williams and wife Dawn, and Hugh Williams; sisters, Martha Jo Turki and husband Mike, and Jackie Tatum and husband Mike; children, Jeremy Phillips and fiancé Shannon Milner, Matthew Phillips and wife Marie, and Dakota Phillips and wife Jamie; grandchildren, Bailey Barnes, Sydney Barnes, Andrew Phillips, Caroline Phillips, Harper Phillips, and Claire James Phillips; along with a host of cousins and friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to his cousin, Rusty Ebey and best friend, Bobby Malmay.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Willis-Knighton Transplant Center.
