Coushatta, LA - A funeral service celebrating the life of Michael E. Orr, 65, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Hickory Grove Church with Brother Mike Fort and Brother William Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 PM Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta. Mike was born on August 5, 1955 in Shreveport, LA to Samuel Edward Orr and Billy Jo Veatch and passed away August 10, 2020 in Coushatta, LA. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and a great friend to all others. He will be dearly missed by all the lives he touched during his lifetime. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Billy Jo Orr and in-laws, Barbara and Otto Lester. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lynette Orr; son, Jeffery Michael Orr and his wife Ashley; daughter, Jessica Maria Orr Allison and her husband Ben; grandchildren, Mackenzie Grace Orr and Brody Martin Allison; brother, Gary Orr; sisters, Rhonda Long and Carrie McDonald; uncle, Claude Veatch and aunt Robbie Sue Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Mike as pallbearers will be Mace Morris, Wesley Rhymes, Michael Giddings, Greg Johnson, Jimmy Reeves, and George Valcho. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Last Chance Hunting Club. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Hernandez and staff as well as Hand in Hand Hospice.
