Michael Eugene Phillips

Funeral services for Michael Eugene Phillips, 56, will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at King's Temple United Pentecostal Church in Shreveport, LA. Pastor Damon Magee and Reverend John Berry will be officiating. Interment will follow services at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, LA. Visitation with the family will be held at the church from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Michael was born on October 28, 1961 to Jesse Massey Phillips and Johnnie Beadie Phillips in Shreveport, LA and made his Heavenly journey on April 20, 2018. Michael was a member of the U.S. National Guard for 8 years and was a dedicated employee of the U.S. Postal Service for nearly 30 years. He was a member of King's Temple United Pentecostal Church for over 40 years and served in the media/sound ministry as well as the bus ministry. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Itelia Phillips; and step brother, AL Burt. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 38 years, Gina Phillips; daughters, Brooke Armstrong and husband Kris and Lauren Phillips; and brother, Gilmer Phillips and wife Iva Nell. He is also survived by Mary Phillips "Momma" and numerous family members. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations may be made to King's Temple media ministry.
