HOMER, LA: Funeral services will be held for Mr. Michael Wayne Roberts, age 60, at Faith Baptist Church in Homer, LA, on Monday, November 29, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Roberts, officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Homer, LA. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service. Michael was born August 17, 1961, in Homer, LA, to Dallas and Odessa Williams Roberts, He entered into rest on Monday, November 22, 2021, at his home in Homer, LA. Michael was a certified mechanic which was his career, but also his hobby. He loved being a Fire Fighter with the District 6 Volunteer Fire Department of Lisbon Michael was always the first to respond and the last to leave. He was a generous man with his time and talents helping others in need. Michael enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather even though he never got to hold his precious grandson. Michael was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents; and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Barbara Zeagler Roberts; mother, Odessa Roberts of Homer, LA; two sons, Michael Dallas Roberts and wife Tiffany of Honolulu, HI, and Caleb Roberts of Homer, LA; two brothers, William Dale Roberts of Homer, LA, and Walter Andrew Roberts and Tonya of Lisbon, LA; a grandson, Elijah Raine Roberts; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Walter Andrew Roberts, William Dale Roberts, Jason Charles Williams, Tommy Prince, David Howell, and Jay Roberts. In lieu of flowers honoring Michael, his family suggests memorials be made to Faith Baptist Church, 3555 Hwy 79, Homer, LA 71040.
