Micheal Carr "Mickey" Milan

Graveside services celebrating the life of Micheal Carr “Mickey” Milan age 83 will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the Mooringsport Memorial Gardens, Mooringsport, LA with Rev. Mike Scott officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA.

Mr. Milan was born in Shreveport, LA on November 2, 1939 to Russell Harrison Milan and Lorrain Hanlen Janes and went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 3, 2023. He married Arlys Collins Milan on August 5, 1984 and their love for each other lasted 39 years. Mr. Milan was an electrician and also served in the US Air Force, US Army, and Texas Air National Guard. His passion was for his family and if he loved you, he loved you forever. He was a good and Godly man. Mr. Milan was a former member of the El Karubah Shrine Temple and a lifetime member of the Sunset Masonic Lodge #438.

Mr. Milan was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jerry Carter Janes and Larry Paul Janes.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Arlys Collins Milan; son, John Micheal Milan and wife, Diane; sisters, Lorrain Janes Beel and Kathryn Janes Townsend; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Honoring Mr. Milan as pallbearers will be John Milan, Joe Drane, Matthew Milan, Max Ryan, Colin Kingery and Vance Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Janes and Diane Mofield.

The family will continue the celebration of life immediately following the graveside service at 9988 Thornapple Road, Oil City, LA.
