Shreveport, LA - Miki Elizabeth Teer, 29, joined the Lord on February 19, 2015. She was born the youngest of three sisters on November 5, 1985 in Bossier City. She graduated from Magnet High School in 2003. Then went on to obtain her Bachelors from LSU in 2007, and later achieved her Masters of Criminology from the University of Cincinnati.
Miki was known for her incredible spirit, brilliant mind, and infectious smile. She was extremely well-read and quick witted with a robust sense of humor. She enjoyed her time working in radio, for the State of Louisiana, and tutoring young students. Miki had dreams of becoming an actress, a lawyer and an FBI agent and always longed to live in New York. She enjoyed quality time with her family, the absolute loves of her life. Although Miki's life was cut short, her memory will live on in all of those who knew her. She is preceded in death by her father, Gary Michael Teer, and is survived by her mother, Suzanne Davis-Teer Baker; stepfather, Don Baker; sisters and brother, Ashley Simpson (Ray), Kara Alfred (Shelby), Chrissy Sundt (Jonny), Anthony Baker (Jennifer); grandparents, Norma and Henry Davis; aunt Carol Mahoney, Cloe Rinehart, Louise McClellan; uncle Rusty Davis; as well as numerous and beloved aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service, officiated by her step brother, Lieutenant Commander Anthony Baker, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 23rd, at Roseneath Southside Funeral Home in Shreveport with visitation, on Sunday, February 22nd, from 2-4.
