Minden, LA Funeral services for Mildred L. Callender will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Ronnie Whitlock officiating. Interment will follow at Minden Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Mildred was born November 29, 1944 in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest September 28, 2014 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Her parents Archie L. McDow, Sr. and Hazel B. McDow preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Frank J. Callender of Minden, sons Charles Callender of Minden, Barry Callender and wife Janice of Dubberly, Kevin Callender of Baltimore, daughters Sue Smith of Dubberly, Patsy Edmundson of Cotton Valley, brother Archie L. McDow, Jr. of Dallas, Texas, grandchildren Jessie Stovall, Amber Callender, Randi Callender, Chad Callender, Justin Callender, Casey Callender, Daisy Corley, Kyle Callender, and Dustin Callender, nephew Drew McDow, niece Lisa Atilsno, special adopted sisters Reba Turner and Rhonda Arkedge and very special friends Denise Myers and Annette Coleman. A special thanks to doctors and nurses at Minden Medical Center, Willis Knighton Bossier, and staff of Grace Home.
