A memorial service honoring the life of Mildred Mae Campbell Remedies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 5, 2021, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Bryan Seymour.
Mildred Mae Campbell Remedies was born November 12, 1943, in Shreveport, Louisiana to George and Ida Campbell and passed away peacefully Friday, June 25, 2021, in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Mildred graduated from Belmont High School in Belmont, Louisiana and then attended the Ozark Academy in Arkansas. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Marthaville, Louisiana. Mildred worked for Western Electric/AT&T and Beaird Poulan before retiring from UT Tyler Hospital.
Mildred loved to cook, crochet and spending time with her children, grandchildren and of course her great-grandchildren, who were her world. She loved to garden and her tend to her flowers, especially her roses. Most of all, Mildred loved talking and being with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Diane Brewer and Janet Remedies; grandson, Jonathon Remedies; brothers, Squire Campbell, Huey Vines, Richard Emanus and Howard Campbell; sister, Dahlia Vines; and nephews, Patrick Vines and Ron Emanus.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lisa Hudson; son, John Remedies; daughter-in-law, Michele Remedies; son-in-law, Kenneth Brewer; grandchildren, Kyle Hudson and wife, Megan, Chelsea Joiner, Colton Remedies, Jared Remedies, Mechelle O'Briant, Christopher Brewer, James Brewer and Justin Brewer; great-grandchildren, Aurora, Adalynn, and Alec Joiner and Caleb Remedies; sister, Velda Sterling and husband, Wayne; sister-in-law, Margaret Campbell; the father of her children, John Remedies; several bothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews; and longtime dearest friend, Cleatta Morris.
The family would like to thank Hospice of East Texas, Dr. Becker and his staff, Regional Hospice of Shreveport, Louisiana, Colonial Oaks of Bossier City, Louisiana, her hospice nurse, Ilene, and all of the nurses and staff for their care and compassion. Also, the family would like to give a special thank you to her friends Mrs. Dorothy and Mr. Bill.
