A memorial service honoring the life of Miles Brinton O'Brien Kay, 28, will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation with the family will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel prior to the service. Officiating the service will be Pastor Trey McGuire of Riverpark Church.
Miles Kay was born August 30, 1991 in Layton, Utah to parents, Leila Potts and Blake Kay and passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 20, 2020, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Miles became a member of the United States Air Force in June 2010, where he proudly served for ten years as a SSgt with the 707th AMXS as a B-52 Crew Chief. Miles and his wife, Meagan, welcomed three boys into the world-Gavin, Aidyn and Jack. He was a proud father and fierce protector. He loved camping with his family, going to the beach, dominating the boys in Super Smash Bros., watching his Chiefs play on Sundays, and making everybody in the room laugh.
He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife, Meagan Johnson Kay; their three beautiful boys, Gavin, Aidyn and Jack; parents, Leila Potts and husband, Matthew and Blake Kay; sisters, Kierra and Oliva Potts; his military brothers and sisters and many other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to a fund that will be created in his sons' names. As for Miles, we will carry him in our hearts and minds forever. We pray he found the peace he was searching for.
