Milton Luther Watkins

KEITHVILLE, LA- Funeral services for Milton Luther Watkins, 84, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Army Honors. Rev. Chad Harbarger and Bo Worley will officiate. Visitation with the family will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the funeral home. Milton was born February 24, 1933 to Galloway and Bessie Watkins in Garland, Arkansas and went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 26, 2017. He served in the U.S. Army and then later retired from Riley Beard Steel Fabrication. Milton was preceded in death by his son Buddy Watkins. Left to cherish his memories is his beloved wife Imagene Watkins of 61 years; daughters, Jeannie and husband Mike Dare and Kathy and husband Merle Jarvis; son, Dale Watkins and wife Beverly and Gary and wife Sandy; sisters, Judy Antee and Nellie Ickles; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Honoring him as pallbearers are Jacob Watkins, Trent Sharp, John Macy, Paul Grayson, Billy Morton, Michael Connell and Roger Connell. Honorary pallbearers will be Carter Sanders, Bo Worley, Britt Green, Bob Anderson, Mat Chaplin and Tim Blake. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church Building Fund sent to 5850 Buncombe Rd. Shreveport, Louisiana 71129.
