Mitzi Hanson Gaddy

Mitzi Hanson Gaddy “Mimi” entered this world on September 27, 1969, and went to her Heavenly home on July 3, 2024, at the young age of 54. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and Mimi to so many.

Mitzi enjoyed life and everyone who she encountered usually became a lifelong friend. She loved hard and always had something to give to everyone out of her Jeep. Mitzi loved working in her garden, spending time with her family, and making sure the chicken plant was running like it should at all times. She spent almost 30 years of her life at House of Raeford in Arcadia. She never sat still, she was always fixing something, loved to talk, and loved helping others.

Mitzi loved volunteering any of her free time at MedCamps, CASA, and FLOCK.

She will be greatly missed by every single person that knew her.

Mitzi is preceded in death by her father, Lavernon Hanson; Grandparents, Vernon and Lila Hanson, AG “Buddy” Canterberry and Viola Canterberry; Niece, Elizabeth Roberts Jones; Nephew, Blake Simonton.

She is survived by her husband, Glynn Gaddy; Daughters, Amber Alford (Thornton), Lauryn Gaddy; Grandson, Grayor Roberts; Her Mother, Judy Hanson; Siblings, Sherry Jones (Spike), Timmy Hanson (Pam); Mother-In Law, Ladell Smythe; Sister-In-Law, Megan Pope (Willie); Nieces and Nephews, Brooke Duck (Corey), Kassi Faircloth (BJ), Dustin Jones (Caroline), Alyssa Farr (Hoss), Caylum Lewis; numerous great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

All services will be at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Minden, LA.

Visitation will be Monday July 8, 2024, from 5:00PM-7:00PM.

Funeral will be Tuesday July 9, 2024, at 10:00AM.
