Monette Compton

Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Monette Compton, 74, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 14, 2014, in the sanctuary of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Shreveport, LA, with Pastor Chad Hardbarger and Brother Harry Forrester officiating. The family would like to welcome guests for visitation Sunday, December 14, 2014, from 1:00 PM until time of service at Emmanuel. Monette was born March 21, 1940 in Vicksburg, MS, to Frank Monette Craig and Mabel Clare Rundell Long and was called home December 12, 2014, in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Monette will always be remembered as a kind, fun loving people person that never met a stranger. She enjoyed playing the piano and entertaining others. Monette was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Compton, and her father, Frank Craig. Left to cherish the beautiful memories Monette leaves behind her mother, Mabel Long; three children, Craig Russell and wife Christina, Dr. Robert Russell and wife Laurie, Chris Russell and wife Lisa; six grandchildren, Britni Russell, Brandon Russell, Elizabeth Russell, Ethan Russell, Maia Russell and Ryan Russell, along with numerous extended family members and many valued friends. The family would like to extend their warmest gratitude to the Staff of The Bradford, Bro. Chad, Bro. Harry and all of the wonderful friends that took time out to visit.
