Bobby Hugh Litton, age 84, passed away on July 12, 2024, at home in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Litton was born on December 3, 1939, in Converse, Louisiana to Robert and Ella Hayes-Litton.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024, located at Oak Grove Cemetery, 158 Fellowship Circle, Converse, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Rev. Lee McClintock. Honoring Mr. Litton as pallbearers will be David Dixon, Hunter Wallace, Trenton Wallace, Jamie Wallace, Brandon Migues, and Mike Birdwell.
Mr. Litton grew up in Converse and Mitchell, Louisiana. He attended Oak Grove School, and it was there that he met the love of his life, Jackie Ott. They married on December 23, 1959, and for 60 years they lived a life full of love. He took care of Jackie faithfully until her passing on June 4, 2020. Mr. Litton worked at the Piggly Wiggly warehouse for many years until he joined the General Motors facility for 27 years.
Mr. Litton is survived by his daughters, Dana Litton-Dixon and husband David and Darla Litton all of Shreveport, LA; sister, Millie Mitchell of Fort Worth, TX; sister-in-law, Jan Johnson and husband Tick of Converse, LA; oldest granddaughter, Jacqueline Migues and husband Brandon; great-grandchildren, June, Easton, and Max; middle granddaughter, Katherine Hare; great-granddaughter, Bella; youngest granddaughter, Amanda Wallace and husband Jamie; and great-grandsons, Trenton and Hunter. He loved these three granddaughters will all his heart. Mr. and Mrs. Litton attended all their recitals, ball games, and school functions.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making contributions to the American Alzheimer’s Association. The family would like to give a special thanks to Mike Birdwell, his family and best friend. He loved visiting Mike and his wife Tonya so much. He often called Mike the best friend you could ever have. The family would also like to express their thanks to Barbara who cared for him as if he were her dad. Barbara and Mr. Litton enjoyed talking about gardening, which was his favorite subject. Thank you Blue, the smartest rescue dog ever. She was loyal and such good company to him for the past two years. Blue brought him much love, laughter, and companionship. He often said he wished he had a dog like her as a boy. His life, love, and teachings will live on long through each of us. He loved a lot in his time.
