Mrs. Lynn Partain

Lynn Partain, age 79, of Shreveport, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on August 22, 2024. She was born on November 28, 1944, in Waco, Texas to Arlon and Edwina Jones.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2024, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport. Officiating the service will be Bro. Jerrell Head and Bro. Steve Gilley. Interment will be held at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St Vincent Ave in Shreveport. Honoring Lynn as pallbearers will be James Miller, Dan Miller, Joe Miller, Jr., Trey Partain, Justin Miller, and Jeremy Miller. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Noah Partain, Josh Hawkins, Chris Warren, Joseph Hawkins, and Robert Lusby. 

Lynn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was married to the love of her life, Bill, for 37 wonderful years. She displayed her love for Christ in her exemplary service in all areas of her life. Lynn was an excellent example of having a servant’s heart by putting other’s needs before her own. Lynn retired from Calvary Baptist Church after 29 years of faithfully serving as the cafeteria manager. Lynn was loved by all who knew her, especially the kids from the church and daycare. Lynn was a talented cook and always had food waiting for any visitors.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Arlon and Edwina Jones; brother, Ronnie Jones; and grandson, Luke Partain. Left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Bill Partain; sons, Joe Miller, Jr. and wife Ozie, Dan Miller and wife Regina, James Miller and wife Kathon, and Trey Partain and wife Jennifer; daughters, Sherri Vaughn, Lisa Kraft and husband Dale, Angela Warren and husband Chris, and Jennifer Hawkins and husband Josh; and sisters, Arlene Padgett and Denise Mongo. Lynn leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
