Mrs. Peggy J. Keel

The Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Peggy Keel, 87, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at Forest Park West Cemetery with John Rabo officiating. The family would like to welcome guests for visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside. Mrs. Keel was born on July 2, 1930 to Homer and Belle Johnson. She was called home on April 11, 2018. She was a talented florist, a loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. She always had a smile and enjoyed playing dominoes with her family and friends. Mrs. Keel was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Doyle Keel; her daughter, Deborah Ashby; her parents, Homer and Belle Johnson; and her sisters, Mary Jane Doughty and Beverly Woodall. Mrs. Keel is survived by her son, Michael Keel and wife Charlotte; son-in-law, Bobby Ashby; sister, Daisy Johnson and husband Charles; grandchildren, Eric Keel, Christopher Ashby, and Lesa Herman; and great-grandson, Wyatt Herman. The family extends a warm appreciation to her nurses and aides for all of their love and support.
