MSgt. David Harlan Davis, Sr. (USAF retired)

SHREVEPORT, LA- Funeral services for MSgt. David Harlan Davis Sr . 87, (USAFretired) will be held at 2:30 pm, Sunday June 29, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Grahamn Riggs of First Christian Church of Bossier. Interment will follow in Longstreet Cemetery, Longstreet, LA. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm, Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the funeral home. Mr. Davis is a 26 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and longtime resident of Shreveport, LA. He passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Horizon Bay Assisted Living in Bossier City, LA. He was a member of Broadmoor Christian Church. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his loving wife Ernestine Davis. Survivors are three sons, Ronald L. Thompson of Blanchard, LA, Donald H. Davis of Bossier City, LA, David H. Davis Jr of Shreveport, LA; Daughter Georgie S. Callender of Blanchard, LA; eight grandchildren, Michael S. Callender, David W. Callender, Charles W. Callender, II, Ronald L. Thompson Jr., David H. Davis, III, Cristen Davis, Dina Janicky, John Janicky; 10 great grandchildren, Kaleigh M. Callender, Savannah A. Callender, Hannah E. Callender, Maddox Janicky, Jaxon Janicky, Alexa Janicky, Venessa Roberts, Alayna Huffstickler, Ashley Huffsticker, Arissa Danford.
