Joaquin, TX - Funeral services honoring the life of SGM (Ret.) Myron Bounds, 79, will be at 10:30 AM Friday, April 7, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Logansport, LA with Reverend Timothy Roberson officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at NWLA Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church in Logansport, LA on April 6, 2017 from 6PM to 8PM for visitation. Myron was born on November 24, 1937 to Caufman and Geraldine (Davis) Bounds and entered into rest on April 1, 2017. He served 27 years in the United States Army and retired as Sergeant Major. Preceding Myron in death is his parents, Caufman and Geraldine Davis Bounds; son, Christopher Mark Bounds; brothers, Dean Bounds, Myron Douglas Bounds and stepdad, Pershing M. Bounds. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Mark Bounds of Monroe, LA, Patrick Bounds and wife Mary Lynn of Sulphur, LA, John Myron Bounds and wife Sara of Portland, TX, Steven Bounds of Joaquin, TX; daughter, Melanie McBride of Joaquin, TX; sisters, LaFern Terrell and husband Paul of Arcadia, LA, Joyce Bounds Young and husband Ronald of Jennings, LA; brothers, Danny Ray Bounds of Coushatta, LA, Wayne Bounds, and Don W. Bounds of Joaquin, TX; eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
