Myrtle L. Stevens

Vivian, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Myrtle L. Stevens, age 66 will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 at Gray Baptist Church, Gray, TX. Officiating will be Rev. Wayne Shew, pastor of the church and will be assisted by Bro. Joe Foster. Interment will follow at Stevens Cemetery in Rodessa, LA. Visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA on Thursday, Nov, 17^th from 6-8 p.m.

Mrs. Stevens was born in Sarber, TX on July 4, 1950 to Leslie Foster and Reathie Mae Ryan Foster and passed away on November 15, 2016 at Willis-Knighton North in Shreveport, LA after a lengthy illness. She was a homemaker and a member of Gray Baptist Church.

Mrs. Stevens is preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Reathie Foster; brothers, Roat Foster, Donald Foster, H. L. Foster, and Baby Foster; sisters, Juanelle Foster, Linda Hunt and Josephine Mitchell. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Billy Stevens of Vivian, LA.; three daughters, Debra Stevens and husband, Douglas of Vivian, LA., Martha Stevens of Vivian, LA and Carla Hicks and husband, Kenny of Vivian, La. Mrs. Stevens is also survived by her sisters, Reathie Joyce and husband, Jr of Jefferson, TX and Katherine Wall of Centerhill, TX; brother, Joe Foster and wife, Sherry of Minden, LA; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
