Nancy J Blankenship

Shreveport, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Nancy Candler Blankenship, age 87 will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside with Rev. Mark Bray officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park-West Cemetery in Shreveport, La. There will be a time of visitation on Tuesday, February 23^rd beginning at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Blankenship was born in Shreveport, La on April 18, 1928 to Edward and Sadie O'Brien Candler and passed away on February 20, 2016 at the Promise Hospital of Bossier. She was a former member of Morningside Methodist Church where she was very active and a homemaker.

Mrs. Blankenship was preceded in death by her sons, David Scott Blankenship and Steven Harold Blankenship and her sister, Wanda Virginia Allen. She is survived by her sweetheart of almost 70 years, James H. Blankenship; son, Brien Blankenship and wife, Rhonda. Mrs. Blankenship is also survived by her grandchildren, Nancy Blankenship Rikke, Todd Blankenship, Julie Roman, Leslie Rowell, Stacey Boatner and Stephanie Lawrence and 12 great grandchildren.

Honoring Mrs. Blankenship as pallbearers will be Todd Blankenship. Todd Rikke, David Roman, Donny Boatner, Josh Lawrence and Wes Rowell.
