Nancy Sharon Dusang

Visitation for Nancy Sharon Dusang, 79, of Bossier City, LA will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA. A short celebration of life memorial will take place at 7:40 p.m. at the funeral home.

Nancy Sharon Dusang was born on Friday, December 24, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee. She passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Willis-Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport, LA.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Lee “Jim” Jones of Sterling, Illinois; mother, Patricia Florene Noland of Carrollton, Alabama; and brothers, Wilbur Marble Jr. and John Marble of Tampa, Florida.

She is survived by her only son, Darrell Lee Daniel and wife, Leesa of Shreveport, LA; brother Samuel A. Marble and wife, Ann of Castor, LA; sisters, Amy Ohler and husband, Harry of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and Ann Stromberg of Maryland; and beloved grandchildren, Emily Kathryn Daniel, Anna Elizabeth Daniel, and Abigail Olivia Daniel of Shreveport, LA.

Nancy received her master’s +30 degree in education from Northwestern State University. For over 30 years, she enriched the lives of many children in her role as a passionate educator. She had a successful career as a guidance counselor, teacher, and principal. Upon retirement from the public school system, she served as an education consultant. In her more recent years, she enjoyed surrounding herself with friends and family. She was an avid bowler, card player, bean bag baseball co-captain, and Sunday school member. Her son and grandchildren were her whole world. To know Nancy was to love her with her one-of-a-kind humor and spunky personality. Although she may not have always heard us in recent years, she always loved us. She left behind an incredible legacy and will forever be in our hearts.
