Nancy C. Madden of Shreveport, LA passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 86 years of age after a lengthy illness. She was born July 24, 1931, in Shreveport, LA. She was a devoted Christian, Wife, Mama, and \"Nanny\". Known to her beloved friends as Nancy, she was deeply spiritual and served the Lord as a homemaker and proud matriarch of her family. Nancy formerly attended Queensborough and Willow Point Baptist Churches enjoying many years as a nursery worker on Sundays. She was a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church at the time of her passing. A celebration of Nancy\'s life will be held Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11:00 at Rose-Neath Marshall St. with Dr. Cliff Estes and Dr. Wayne Dubose officiating. Private Family interment will be at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Tom D. Madden Sr., and survived by her daughter, Dr. Sherri M. Beck and husband Steve of Evergreen, CO; son, Tom D. Madden Jr. and wife Ellen of Shreveport, LA; grandson, Steven C. Beck and wife Amy of Benton, AR; granddaughters, Sarah K. Monchak and husband Adam of Elizabeth, CO and Elizabeth M. Hancock and husband Richard of Shreveport, LA, and ten great-grandchildren. Honoring \"Nanny\" as pallbearers will be son-in-law, James S. Beck, grandson, Steven C. Beck, grandson-in-law, Richard Hancock, and family friends, Samuel J. Stroope, William J. Ingram and Jim W. Vangossen. A special thanks to Mrs. Patricia Dickerson and the caregivers of Divine Healthcare, Amedisys Hospice Care and Montclair Park Assisted Living in Shreveport, Louisiana. The family suggests memorials may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children\'s Home, 7200 Desiard St., Monroe, LA, 71203 or Loving Alternative Adoptions, 430 S. Vine Ave., Tyler, TX, 75702.
