Nancy Louise Perser

Shreveport, LA - Nancy Edwards Perser, 79, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2015. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, with Joe Huffman officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Nancy was born April 16, 1935 in Lillie, Louisiana. She was a member of Southern Hills Church of Christ. She was an avid china painter and was in the China Guild for many years. Her China painting buddies were Glayds Owens and Sybil Watson. Mother loved to sew and smocked dress for her granddaughters and now her great-granddaughters will be able to enjoy them. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Callie Risinger Edwards. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years James A. Perser; two daughters, Gale Simmons and husband Wayne, Lisa Doyle and husband Barry; one brother, Kenneth Edwards and wife, Gloria; five grandchildren, Jacob Doyle, Stefanie Simmons, Derek Simmons, Meagan Doyle Crow, and Callie Simmons Patterson; four great-grandchildren, Oliver Doyle, Jaxson Crow, Reagan Crow, and Parker Patterson. Honoring Nancy as pallbearers will be Charlie Tudor, Jacob Doyle, Oliver Doyle, Derek Simmons, Justin Patterson, Cameron Crow, and Jaxson Crow.
