Nancy Jo Vice

SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Nancy Lum Vice, 81, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Bro. Dale Sauls. Burial will follow at Union Springs Cemetery, Converse, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016. Nancy was born on April 26, 1935 in Converse, LA to Curtis Truitt Lum and Ruby Terrell Lum and passed away on May 2, 2016. She was known as "Sister" to her own sister and family members. Nancy enjoyed church activities with her Sunday school class. She will be missed by all her family and friends. One of her favorite things to do was meeting with her sister, and sister-in-law to eat lunch together. Nancy was an avid cookbook collector. We daughters loved our mother and have special memories to reflect on in the days to come. Sister is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 53 years, L. R. (Shorty) Vice, brother, James Truitt Lum, and nephew, Stephen Truitt Lum. Leaving to cherish her memory is her daughters, Beverly Vice Wallis and husband, Bruce of Mansfield, TX, Judy Vice Chavers and Rick Waters of Shreveport, LA, and Jenelle Vice Rains of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Veronica Wallis, Valerie Wallis Brown and husband Dave, Vanessa Wallis, and Logan Kent Wallis and wife, Tayla; great-granddaughters, Grace Wallis and Lucy Wallis; sister, Susie Lum Ezernack and husband Gerald; and sister-in-law, Sharon Lum. Honoring Nancy as pallbearers will be Logan Wallis, Dave Brown, Rick Waters, Joey Ezernack, Tyler Williams, and Lawrence Daigle. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Wallis, Gerald Ezernack, Buck Supalvado, Lynn Arnold, and Billy Ferguson.
