Nathalia Louise Carney

SHREVEPORT, LA- Funeral services honoring Mrs. Nathalia Louise Carney, will be held at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel on Saturday July 9, 2016 at 10: 00 a.m. Interment to follow at Stonewall Cemetery in Stonewall, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Hall. Visitation with the family will be held at 5:00- 7: 00 p.m. Friday July 8, 2016 at the Rose- Neath Southside funeral home. Louise was born to William and Lelia Strickland Redding in Yarbo, Alabama. She passed away July 6, 2016, at the age of 88. She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church in Stonewall, LA. She will be buried next to her husband Thomas O. Carney. Preceded in death by her husband Thomas O. Carney, Sr.; her parents, sister DeLaurise Redding Beech; brothers Bud Redding and wife Chris, Jim A. Redding and wife Martha, and B.W. Redding. She is survived by daughter Donna Carney DuHamel and husband John; son Thomas O. Carney, Jr.; grandchildren Thomas Ray Hendrix and wife Joanna, Jamie Rene Hendrix, Jennifer Nichole Hendrix, and Kristen Michael DuHamel; 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of good friends. She's also survived by her cat "Jellybean" which was her motivation. Honoring Louise as pallbearers will be Tyler Nichols, Ethan Hendrix, Jim BuchWald, Thomas Ray Hendrix, William Paul Trahan, and Seth Stoker.
