Graveside services honoring the life of Nelda Jean Ashby will be 11:30 AM on Saturday April 7, 2018 at Hoss Cemetery in Hosston, Louisiana. Visitation will be at Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Many on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM for the Family. Friends and Relatives are welcome for visitation from 4:00 PM Friday until 9:00 PM. Mrs. Nelda Jean Ashby was born on July 28, 1943 in San Diego, California to James Virgil Manning II & Frances Dodson Manning. She entered into rest on April 2, 2018 in Shreveport, LA at the age of 74. Preceding her in death are her parents and her spouse, Francis Kenneth Ashby & her brother James Virgil Manning III. She is survived by her sons; John R. Ashby, Sr. of Bossier City, LA & Kevin W. Ashby & wife Alisha of Lake Charles, LA; Daughter Elizabeth Harris & husband Bill of Noble, LA; Sisters Virginia McLendon & husband Lee of San Antonio, TX & Emma Dennis & husband Jerry of New Mexico; one brother John Manning & wife Jeanette of Houston, TX & 12 Grandchildren & 9 Great Grandchildren. Active Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
