Nelda (Dot) Joyce Ehrhardt

A Memorial Visitation for Nelda (Dot) Joyce Ehrhardt, 73, will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Dot was born July 15, 1951, to Alma Harper Howard and Curtis Howard and passed away at home on Thursday, October 3, 2024, in Shreveport.

Dot was a resident of Shreveport. She worked for many years as a waitress for Murrell’s Grill before moving on to Olan Mills and Lifetouch photography. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, Grammy and friend. She was a very strong-willed woman that always put her family first, but also described herself as a marshmallow. Her hobbies included traveling, photography, and who-done-it mysteries. Some of her favorite things included a love of cardinals, reading, crafting, and baking Christmas cookie trays for family and friends. 

Dot is preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Charles; sisters, Mary and Francis; and brothers, R.L., and Doug. Left to cherish her memory are her three siblings, Kippy, Bobby, and Judy Howard, five children, J.R. Robbins (wife, Beckey), Suzy Ehrhardt, Rikki Ehrhardt, Amanda Redding (husband, Ken), Kimberly McGlothlin (husband, Michael), 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and many more adopted family members.

The family would like to express special thanks to Christus Cardiac Rehab, the Baylor Dallas LVAD Team, Dr. Smith, St. Joseph’s Hospice, and the kids.
