Nell Ruth Wellborn

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Nell Ruth Wellborn, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Officiating will be Mr. Jim Vanhook. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 28, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Nell was born June 17, 1924 in Garland AR to Dick and Annie Love and passed away on August 24, 2015 in Shreveport. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 68 years, S.A. Wellborn, Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Floyd Redman; grandson, Ronnie Wellborn; sons, Randal Wellborn and Samuel A. "Sam" Wellborn III. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, William "Bill" Wellborn and his wife, Cyndy; daughter, Sandra "Sis" Jackson; daughter-in-laws, Carol Wellborn and Cheryl Wellborn; grandchildren, Andy Wellborn and his wife, Tammy, Randy Wellborn and, Rhonda, Dee Johnson and, Kris, Angie Rivers and her husband, Wilton, Kim Hay and her husband, Mike, Jeff Byrd and his wife, Kelly, Samuel "Beaux" Wellborn IV, Rebecca Clements and her husband, Ric, Jennifer Howk and her husband, Mike, Susan Johnson, Allen and Cathy Remedies; great-grandchildren, Jessica Wellborn, Adam Wellborn, Zach Hay, Ben Hay, Jacob Johnson, Logan Johnson, Taylor Rivers, Karson Byrd, Gentry Byrd, Daniel Wellborn, William Wellborn, Brayden Clements, Juliette Wood, Bailey Wood, Taylor Wood, Tristin Remedies, and Destini Remedies. Honoring Nell as pallbearers will be Zach Hay, Ben Hay, Logan Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Adam Wellborn, Tristin Remedies, Daniel Wellborn, and William Wellborn. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff at Garden Park Nursing Home and to Dr. Richard Haynie.
