BENTON, LA - Mrs. Nellie Rose Muller Wyche went to be with our Lord on Thursday, May 28, 2015, in Bossier City, LA. She was born on September 15, 1923, in Keithville, LA. Nellie was a faithful member of the Benton United Methodist Church in Benton, LA and was a lifelong Methodist. Nellie was a graduate of Byrd High School in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of the Benton United Methodist Women, Eva Smith Sunday school class, the Bossier Restoration Foundation and the Cypress Area Garden Club. She worked in retail sales at Rubenstein's and as a church secretary for the First United Methodist Church in Bossier City, LA for many years prior to moving to Benton, LA in 1976. She was a devoted wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Emmett G. Wyche, Sr.; parents, Dora Snell Muller and Harold Muller of Keithville, LA; sister, Louise Muller Guillot of Shreveport, LA; brothers, George Muller of Keithville, LA and Hendrik Muller of San Antonio, TX.
Surviving her are her two sons and their spouses, Emmett G. (Gary) Wyche, Jr. and Alyce, Robert B. (Bobby) Wyche and Sherri all of Benton, LA; one brother, Alfred Muller of Keithville, LA; grandchildren, Cindy Green, Dena and Jim Owen; great grandchildren, Garrett Green, Patrick and Caroline Owen and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home in Bossier City, LA, and the many friends that helped our mother over the past years, especially her personal sitter for many years, Mildred Stallsworth.
Visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Services will be held in the chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. Dr. Danny Gleason, Pastor and Associate Pastor Cheryl Nelson of the Benton United Methodist Church, Benton, LA will conduct the service. The interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery on Hwy 80 in Haughton, LA.
Pallbearers will be Garrett Green, Jeffery Muller, Jimmy Muller, Herbert Muller, Murph Colvin and Richard Barteet.
Memorial gifts may be made to the building fund of the Benton United Methodist Church, 4615 Palmetto Road, Benton, LA 71006.
