Nerril Wayne Fontenot

SHREVEPORT, LA - A Memorial Gathering for Nerril Wayne Fontenot, 72, will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 334 Acton Rd., Marksville, LA. Nerril was born January 20, 1946, in Ville Platte, LA to Marjorie Grainger Fontenot and Allen Fontenot and passed away with his family by his side February 14, 2018, in Shreveport, LA. He was of Catholic Faith. He retired from Vidor Independent School District after several years of service. Nerril was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed. Nerril was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Alpha Fontenot. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Audrey Fontenot; son, Waylan Fontenot and fiancé Tammy Nero; daughter, Amanda Fontenot; sisters, Darnell Gullory, Audrey Fontenot, Adwiner Deshotel, Sandra Fontenot, Loraine Vidrine, Wylene Fontenot, Debbie Bordelon and Della Bordelon; brother, Timmy Fontenot and wife Ann; grandchildren, Kerry Ridout and wife Kristen, Adrien Ridout and Kody Pisney, Jessica Love and husband Chris, Cailynn Finley and husband Troy, and Devon Fontenot and wife Darah; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Sadie and Katelynn Love, Sydnei, Aidynn, Isiah, and Freya Finley, Weston Ridout, and Jerry (J.T.) Stewart; and many nieces, and nephews.
