Shreveport, LA - Funeral services for Nevelle Irene Bamburg, 79, will be held 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Joe Wiggins. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the funeral home. Nevelle was born on July 30, 1935 in Coushatta, LA and passed away on January 18, 2015. She was a registered nurse and a resident of Shreveport, LA. She loved spending time with family and friends, traveling, butterflies, flowers, gardening, and birds (especially hummingbirds). Nevelle also loved having her cup of coffee, reading books, computer games and playing board games. Everyone that knew her always said she loved to cook and was a great cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvis "Tiny" Bamburg and her parents, Rufus and Irene Brown. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Glynda Ivey and Charlotte Ransom and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Stephanie Ivey Bliss, Candice Ivey, Jim Ivey, Jr., and Jennifer Vanderwater; great-grandchildren, Dalton Bliss and Darren Vanderwater; brother, Sam Brown and wife, Vania; nephew, Jason; nieces, Crystal and Allison Brown.
