Nic was born February 3, 1998 in Bossier City, LA and died May 5, 2015 in Shreveport, LA from injuries sustained in a car accident. Nic was a junior at Calvary Baptist Academy. He loved longboarding and "breaking ankles on the pitch". He spent countless hours playing music, writing lyrics, playing guitar and jamming on the piano. Nic had discovered an incredible talent of drawing in recent years and was gifted with any ball he got his hands (or feet) on. He was a member of the J17 Ministry and was a member of the Crossroads Pride U18 Soccer team and High School All District for four years. His motto was "Don't let other people's opinion change who you are" and he lived by that. Nic liked to be different and affected everybody around him. Nic is preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Young. He is survived by his mother, Melissa Goldman and husband, George of Haughton, LA, father, Jeffrey Anderson and wife, Becky of Shreveport, LA; grandmother, Burl Young of Elm Grove, LA; grandfather, Jerry Anderson and wife, Ruby of Bossier City, LA; grandmother, Brenda Anderson and great grandmother, Virginia Anderson, both of Paragould, AR. Nic is also survived by a sister, Natalie Anderson of Haughton, LA; step sisters, Emma Grace Goldman of Haughton, LA, Candice Carpenter of Shreveport, LA; step brothers, Dustyn Carpenter and Aaron Carpenter, both of Shreveport, LA; aunt, Laura Carson and husband, Bill of Jonesboro, AR; uncle, Gregg Young and wife, Tracy of Mesquite, TX; nephew, Greyson Carpenter of Shreveport, LA and special friend, Lauren Phillips of Shreveport, LA. He chose to be an organ donor so he will continue to affect lives. In honor of his legacy, a foundation has been set up to aid LOPA, Calvary Soccer and other ministries. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Nicholas Anderson Foundation, P.O. Box 6836, Shreveport LA 71136.
