Nicholas "Nick" Wayne Christy

Funeral services for Nicholas "Nick" Wayne Christy, 20, will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Summer Grove Baptist Church, 8924 Jewella Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road, Shreveport. A visitation will be held prior to services at 10:30 a.m. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kyle Mosier. Nick was born on January 11, 2000 to Mark Wayne Christy and Christina Diane Sprawls in Kenner, Louisiana and passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Nick enjoyed collecting coins and flags as well as reading and discussing history and politics. He attended college at LSU Shreveport. Nick is preceded in death by his grandmother, Sandra Sandefur Young. He is survived by his parents; grandparents, Butch and Sherry Christy and Desi Sprawls and his wife, Cathy; brothers, Nathan and Nolan Christy and sister Natalie Christy. Honoring Nick as pallbearers will be Brad Christy, Brian Christy, Jacob Christy, Michael Livezey, Joseph Partain, Dawson Tidwell. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Pat Jones, Bob Poland, and Brady Tidwell.
