Norma Ruth Mitchell

A Funeral service celebrating the life of Norma Ruth Mitchell, 92, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 305 Jefferson Street, Mansfield, Louisiana with Fr. Mark Franklin officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Mansfield, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2024, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana. 

Norma Ruth was born on January 1, 1932, in Durant, Mississippi to Henry Pitman and Mattie Thrailkill Pitman and passed away November 5, 2024, in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Ruth was a devoted Christian and loved playing the piano at for St. Joseph’s Catholic Church through the 70’s and 80’s. She also loved her cats!

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mattie Pitman; husband, John Mitchell; daughter, Linda Mitchell; and sister, Jean Brooks. 

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Greg Mitchell; sister, Inaaz Dickerson, and host of family and friends.

Honoring Ruth as pallbearers will be Greg Mitchell, Timmy Mitchell, and Paul Warren.
